An updated documentary of Trump’s presidency to the end of March this year, from the same NYT reporter who wrote Confidence Man, with the addition of her colleague, Johnathan Swan.
Carefully researched, the extent of Trump’s greed, capriciousness, and willingness to break any law in pursuit of revenge and further his own agenda is on full display. There are revelations that leave no doubt about his sinister intentions to establish an absolute dictatorship. But revelations in this book convinced me that J.D. Vance, though a deeply flawed opportunist, would be theoretically less dangerous than Trump as POTUS.
There is no doubt about the authors’ political allegiance. What is missing from this book is any suggestion of alternative actions to the many foolish actions of the Trump regime.
